
Oahu to be under shelter in place order
Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell has issued a Stay at Home/Work from Home Order today, effective on Monday, March 23, 2020, at 4:30 p.m. (“the Order”) (the full text of the Order, including what constitutes essential activities/work is here: Mayor of Honolulu’s Emergency-Order-No-2020-02). The Order is a shelter in place order, directing individuals in the City and County of Honolulu to stay at home or work from home, except for specified essential activities and work necessary for essential business and government services. The Order is currently scheduled to be in place through April 30, 2020. A similar order was issued shortly thereafter by Maui Mayor Mike Victorino, covering Maui County.
