We are happy to welcome back legal assistant Emily Kamada to the Islandlawyers ohana. Emily previously worked with us from 2017-2021 before returning in 2024. She graduated from Sacred Hearts Academy in Honolulu and attended the Kapiolani Community College’s Paralegal Program, where she was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. She brings with her both family law and recent civil litigation experience in assisting our clients. Emily joined Doi/Luke in 2022, after receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Prior to coming on board as an employee, Emily interned with us while an undergraduate. Sara received her Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Public Administration from the University of Hawaii, and her Juris Doctorate degree from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego. She has a wealth of experience in helping individuals with the divorce and family law process, as well as working in State government and the non-profit field.
